I cannot believe that we are well into February. This is partially due to the hormonal weather that switches from warm April days to (unprepared) chilly mornings. Weathermen must get a kick out of this. But life has been more hectic than I expected it to be so early in the year.
Classes are a little harder than I imagined--well actually just one class is harder than I ever imagined: ceramics! Yes, ceramics. The art of making cylinders has not "clicked." Thus, it has become more frustrating than enjoyable--but I am in there with several friends, so that does make it laughable. In my history class, my teacher sounds like Harrison Ford and his syllabus had dinos. Need I say more?!
In my spare time, you can find me running/walking/crawling in preparation for a half-marathon. When I began college I made a bucket list of things to do before graduation. Well the list only holds two items: bungee jump and complete a half-marathon. The latter will come reality April 6th. I thoroughly enjoy running at night. The stars are so bright at night. But the other night I had a revelation while running. I didn't want to start walking or slow down my pace. I didn't want to do such because I didn't want others to see me walking. At the core, I am prideful. Even in running, I'm prideful. My prayer became for my running to be glorifying, whether in running, barely jogging, or flat out walking, and to not worry about those around me.
The last recent bit of news pertains to this blog's title. I have been provided the opportunity to spend my Spring Break overseas loving on the people of that country. Where you might ask? Think of the only country whose name is the same as that of an animal or sandwich meat. Yes, that's it! Will you join my teammates and I in prayer for the country, for softened hearts, for divine appointments in our week's time there, and Colossians 1:9-14.
